How to study Class 11 English with Vidya
Class 11 is the bridge year. The Rainbow Part 1 lessons are longer and the language is richer than Class 10. If you build a good reading habit this year, Class 12 board preparation becomes much lighter. Do not treat Class 11 as a rest year — the grammar and writing skills you learn now are tested again in Class 12.
1.One chapter a week
Finish one prose lesson or poem every week. Read the summary, then the textbook, then write the exercise answers.
2.Build your word bank
Keep a small notebook of new words with Hindi meanings. Revise it on Sunday. Ten words a week becomes 400 words by the end of the year.
3.Strengthen grammar
Use our Grammar course for tense, voice, narration and clauses. These topics appear in every board paper.
4.Practise writing
Write one paragraph, letter or essay every two weeks. Ask a teacher or classmate to read it.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading only summaries and never the actual lesson.
- Skipping grammar because it feels boring.
- Not writing anything by hand until the exam.
